AeroV® is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service that transforms any smartphone into an extension of the aircraft's phone system. Developed by Satcom Direct, AeroV® stands out as the first VoIP solution tailored specifically for aviation, enabling seamless voice communication through the aircraft’s broadband internet connection without the need for a computer.

Upon connecting to the aircraft Wi-Fi, users can easily make calls using their phone's contact list, effectively making their device a part of the aircraft's communication system. The service integrates with the Global One Number® (GON), allowing direct reachability through a configured extension.

<li>Functional across Yonder®, Iridium, and Inmarsat satellite networks.</li>
<li>Operational on Yonder (SIP) and SBB streaming channels (IAX and AMBE2).</li>
<li>VPN support to enhance security during voice communications.</li>
<li>Includes G.729 codec within the application.</li>
<li>Support for DTMF allowing access to automated systems via RFC 2833, SIP INFO, and in-band tones.</li>
